15-5PH is a martensitic precipitation-hardening stainless steel, containing 15% chromium and 5% nickel. Its strength and toughness can be precisely controlled through heat treatment. It combines high strength (tensile strength exceeding 1300MPa), excellent corrosion resistance (comparable to 304 stainless steel) and good processability. After solution treatment and aging treatment, its hardness can reach HRC38-44, and the welding deformation is small.
It is used in the aerospace field to make rocket casings, in Marine engineering to produce corrosion-resistant components, and in medical devices to meet the requirements of high strength and biocompatibility.
